Pietrasanta in Concerto is delighted to welcome you back again for our 17th edition, with a rich and varied program featuring familiar stars such as Vadim Repin, Denis Khozhukhin and Andrea Griminelli, along with returning favorite artists, Maisky trio, Claudio Bohórquez, Lise Berthaud and Roberto Prosseda.
We will be introducing for the first time, the master cellist David Geringas, the amazing pianists Zee Zee, Matan Porat and Julia Zilberquit and the equally gifted violinist Yossif Ivanov. The new generation of soloists will be coming from the renowned Queen Elisabeth Chapel from Belgium, playing with their mentor, the ever-inspiring pianist Frank Braley.
The celebrated Cremona Quartet are finally also making their comeback, and the Brussels Chamber Orchestra will once again be the backbone of the festival, along with the star cellist and audience favorite Jing Zhao, appropriately for a festival with a strong cello identity.
From Vivaldi to Martinu and Chostakovich, presenting the Italian première of the East-West master composer Tan Dun, as well as staples of the repertory by Brahms, Tchaikowsky or Dvorak, the musical program promises to prove, once again, that music is far from a simple distraction from our daily lives, but a basic necessity for our communities and our souls.
You have a choice of buying your tickets(s) either online or from one of the points of sale in Pietrasanta. You may prefer the online option if you are planning your evening(s) ahead of time or if you are simply not based in Pietrasanta. And of course it’d guarantee your attendance as the cloister has a limited number of seats, in particular during these challenging times.
The enthusiasm of our public has been great over the years, and its support allows us to survive and prosper.
Once again this year, the Festival will feature world class artists, and needless to say, your support will be of utmost importance to decide the future of the Festival.
