Born in 1997 in Portugal, Francisco is currently attending the Deuxième Cycle Supérieur in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, under M. David Gaillard, M. Nicolás Bone and M. François Fernandez (baroque Viola). In 2018, finishes his Bachelor in Aveiro University under Mr. António Pereira with the maximal score. Francisco is currently the solo viola of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, but regularly collaborates with other orchestras such as European Union Youth Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestra of the Royal Concertgebouw, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Staatskapelle Dresden, Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa, among others.

Winner of the second prize of Prémio Jovens Músicos superior level, and 2nd Prize in Prémio de Interpretação Frederico de Freitas, Francisco frequently presents himself in both chamber music and solo recitals. In July 2019, Francisco participated in Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival where had the opportunity to work regularly with Professor Tabea Zimmermann.

Throughout his learning, Francisco as been having the opportunity to work with professors as Tabea Zimmermann, Nobuko Imai, Gérard Caussé, Ana Bela Chaves, Thomas Selditz, Iris Juda, Ulrich Knözer, Jean-Loup Lecomte, Leo de Neve, Francine Schatborn, Samuel Barsegian, David Wyn Lloyd, Emerson de Biaggi.

In September 2021, he joins the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel as an artist in residence in the class of Miguel da Silva.

Francisco benefits from a scholarship by Mr. & Mrs. Pierre Gurdjian
