Andrea Mariani was born in 1996 and began studying piano at the age of eight with Giacomo Ronchini. Since 2010 he has continued his musical studies at the 'Giovani Talenti' Academy in Alzate Brianza with Claudia Boz. Under his guidance he graduated from the 'A. Buzzolla' of Adria with full marks and honors in February 2015. In 2018 he successfully completed the two-year high level piano specialization 'Virtuosity Certificate Domenico Scarlatti' with Maestro Aquiles Delle Vigne at the Academia Internacional de Música of Coimbra and currently he is concluding his training with Roberto Prosseda at the “F. Venezze” in Rovigo, within the II level Master course.

During his career he obtained important national and international recognition, winning more than thirty first prizes and first overall prizes. He won first prize at the first edition of the 'Young Talents with Orchestra', obtaining a concert in Bacau with the State Philharmonic Orchestra 'Mihail Jora'.

In 2016 he was a semi-finalist at the VII 'Panama International Piano Competition Nelly and Jaime Ingram' in Panama City. In 2018 he was third overall at the 'Premio Rovere D'Oro' in San Bartolomeo al Mare.

In 2023 he won first prize at the XIV international musical performance competition in Florence.

In 2013 he made his debut with the orchestra performing the Concerto op. 25 by Mendelssohn at the Palazzina Liberty in Milan, receiving warm acclaim. For two consecutive years he won a scholarship that allowed him to attend the 'International Summer Academy' at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg in 2016 and 2017.

He follows the Masterclasses of authoritative names on the international music scene, including Benedetto Lupo, Boris Berman, Sofya Gulyak, Konstantin Scherbakov, Eldar Nebolsin, Leonid Margarius, Pietro De Maria, Makoto Ueno and William Grant Naboré.

He regularly performs at important theaters and festivals in Italy and abroad (Ateneo Veneto for the Musikàmera season, Sale Apollinee of the Teatro 'La Fenice', Auditorium Arvedi of the Violin Museum of Cremona, Teatro Sociale of Rovigo, Ascoli Piceno Festival,  ; Teatro della Società in Lecco, Auditorium of the 'Gil Vicente' cultural center in Sardoal, Palazzo Sambonifacio in Padua, Festival Rovigo Cello City, Festival Opera Barga etc.) as a soloist, chamber musician and with orchestra.

He recorded Silvio Omizzolo's “Dieci studi sul trillo” on a CD soon to be published by Piano Classics.

In recent years he has combined his concert activity with musicology studies at the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of Cremona.
