Maarten Vandenbemden grew up in a house full of guitars and has become a versatile performer, arranger and teacher on and with the classical guitar. Over the past eight years, his performances as a chamber musician have brought him from China to the USA, landing regularly in Tuscany for the yearly Volterra Project Guitar Institute. He has collaborated in 10 studio recordings.

Maarten is professor of Harmony & Analysis and Applied Harmony for guitarists at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and professor of guitar at the KASK&Conservatorium Gent (Belgium) where he is a colleague of Philippe Thuriot..
